Sales/Application Engineer

Interactive Flow Studies is based in Rochester Minnesota engaged in selling instruments to teach fluid mechanics. Educational PIV suite includes both hardware and software for engineering education at Universities. We are looking for an energetic sales person who can grow the business quickly by reaching out to customers who are Universities. Primary responsibility is sales of the ePIV systems to Universities and other institutions.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Proactive sales.
• Generate sales to meet target.
• Communicate directly with customers.
• Prepare estimates for customers.
• Visit customers and introduce the ePIV system.
• Provide customer feedback for engineering development.
• Technical sales presentations.
• Attend conferences.

Required Skills:

• Highly Technical Background (Engineering/Science/Physics Degree).
• Experience in Sales.
• Ability to learn, understand and describe the technical aspects of the educational Particle Image Velocimetry System verbally and in writing.
• Experience selling instrumentation to Universities is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of CAD software is a plus but not required.
• General computer skills including writing documents and spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with programming languages and html is a plus but not required.
